Blogging,  Random

Fuck it. I’m not writing anymore clickbait headlines. I’m just being me.

I’ve been blogging for a while now- since October last year, and I’ve learned so much about blogging since then.

And about sex.

And about me.

But I’ve also learned a lot about the internet.

And I’ve stuffed my boots full of articles on how to blog, blogging 101, 50 ways to blog better, how to write a blog in 10 days, how to win followers and influence armchair warriors.

And I’ve decided…

it’s exhausting.

Although there is so much to be said for expert opinions, learning from the best and using other’s mistakes to help you grow yourself.

It’s can also be all consuming and a little soul destroying trying to fit your writing and yourself into a box that states the only way you’ll get readers is by writing a clickbait headline when that doesn’t come naturally to you or feel right.

Some of them are so disingenuous, shallow and vacuous, and I want to remain as me.

So I’m going to write what I want, how I want it, and hope that the folks out there reading like it.

It’s not about likes, comments, being paid or having a huge following. It’s about liking what I do, helping others, and having a voice that feels authentically me.

This site was written to be informative, helpful, and as a safe haven from the “quick fix” articles I’ve read online. And so that’s what it will be. I’ll stick to my guns, listen to my own intuition, and keep on being me.

Love

So with you on this – your sentence- “It’s not about likes, comments, being paid or having a huge following. It’s about liking what I do, helping others, and having a voice that feels authentically me”
Is where i am at too – I just want to write and put my stuff out there – sometimes even things like Twitter feel like they are taking too much of my time away from why i really started the whole blogging thing 😉
